5 Minutes + 1 Tip gets rid of BLOG WRITING TECH NIGHTMARES!

It is no secret that the reason every business doesn’t have a blog is that it gets too confusing and time consuming. But, I found a way to simplify and get it done.

Spend five minutes with me and I’ll show you how to get rid of BLOG WRITING TECH NIGHTMARES!

When I reinvented my entire business of teaching solo lady creators how to create a solo digital business, the one thing I couldn’t change or really simplify was blogging.

I shared support docs I created for use behind the scenes - worksheets, templates, all those good things, and they were very complete. But it meant you had to go back-and-forth to different apps, to different plug-ins, and to what you had written. Oh, don’t forget entering alt text for the images. Hopping around to complete all these steps was a pain! They created a big BLOG WRITING TECH NIGHTMARE just hoping to get a blog found in searches online.

This nightmare begins after writing a blog and posting it. A rabbit hole in life pops up to distract you. You decide to come back later to finish the behind-the-scenes work. But, that may never happen or only one plug-in gets completed. That is the classic start of your BLOG WRITING TECH NIGHTMARE. It feels like a bunch of busywork. There really isn’t any guidance in what you should choose. 

I know, I said it’s a 5-minute fix!

I love to write and I write something most every morning with my cuppa coffee. But I have always hated the strung-out boring tasks of posting a blog!

1.     The blogging editor allows pasting content. I usually write in Microsoft Word on my iPhone or on my laptop. I paste my written content into whatever PODIA editor I am using - blogging, website, email marketing or my digital products. Pasting is important to me!

2.     The side-bar tool gives me 3 choices of menus that are fill-in-the blanks and choose/upload an image. It's quick and so easy! I usually fill in the blanks just before I paste my content into the blog editor. That's my way of making sure I don't walk away before everything is ready to publish.

3.     I can change or omit the date, schedule a future date and time for posting, list a guest author by name. I can even UNPUBLISH a post if that is needed.

4.     Push the preview button to see an actual preview.

5.     Make changes to the blog post layout OR the blog “entry” page layout.

6.     The quick features also make the blog “readable” for sight-impaired visitors. That’s a whole other touching story for another time! It will blow your mind! It's a critical feature to me.


All this and more is really exciting to me as a blogger. And it’s even more exciting as a solo creator, course creator, solo business coach, whatever you wanna call me. ANOTHER QUICK TIP I AM PRETTY PICKY ABOUT

Whenever I publish anything, I check it on mobile. I want to make sure that what I've published looks the way I want it to look on mobile. WHY? A huge percentage of viewers are viewing on mobile, and I want to make sure they have a good experience with my content.

 If I like what I see on mobile, I'm pretty sure I’ll like it on desktop or laptop. So, I keep my cell phone right next to my laptop as I'm making changes or postings.

Each time I make a change, I check that content on my cell phone. Size is important to me because what looks good on a big screen can overpower on mobile. Overpowered viewers will leave. In most cases, what looks good on mobile will look good on larger screens.
